Vacation retreat in Sevastopol. Everybody knows that the South Coast of Crimea almost has subtropical climate. The main part of Crimean peninsula, in and outside Crimean chine and north, has own climate and nature traits. Sevastopol is in a corner where it meets all that is natural and is situated close to the mountains, foothills and steppe. What a sea, unique and wonderful the Black Sea - the sea of myths, legendary seafarer and feats. Sometimes it violently hits against sheer cliff of the Cape Aiya and Fiolent; sometimes runs over the endless beaches; sometimes runs far though the land kilometres of the Sevastopol Bay. Sevastopol is a town of republican subordination. Because of that it can be region center but it needs the region as agricultural area for food supply. That's why lands surrounding Sevastopol is proclaimed the part of its territory. Today the town occupies the largest area - 77 thousand hectars in the administrative boarders.
There are other bay named South Bay situated to the south from Sevastopol bays. The bays divide town on three part or "sides". Here we call it: North, Ship and South (same Central or Urban). Sevastopol town spread out by the seaside bays and to the West away from the open sea by the terrace on hills on a lot of kilometres.
The North bound of town is moved away from Evpatoria behind the villages Andreevka and Sunny. Here hilly steppe is covered by Sovhoz vineyard. It falls by the high cliffs (seaside steep) to the sea where at the bottom sandy beaches can be reached to the both sides.
The Outside Crimean chine ends between two rivers Kachi and Belbec. Its not high (about 300 metres above sea-level) and represents height as "kuesti" - mountain ridge with steep slop in the high part. The administrative bounds of Sevastopol include the part of the Valley Belbec bordering to the villages Verhnesadovoe and Frontovoe.
The Hilly steepe, occupied by vineyards, stretch's along the seaside to the North side of town. And small heights (200-300 m), covered by rich forests with shortish trees, stretching inside of the peninsula. They are Mekenzievi Hills and Inkerman Heights the places of intense battles like in the Crimean and Patriotic Wars. You won't see campers here but the places have wonderful charm. There are not asphalting highways but should you to drive or walk on narrow village road with deep gauge above which the twigs of trees make often vault. Sometimes you can go down to the damp ravine. You can often meet hares, foxes and roes.
Sevastopol Bay runs deep in the Crimean peninsula for 8 kilometres. The seasides of the bay are winding and make a lot of intresting bays and creeks which are continued by girders. It's a long deep gully with almost sheer limestone walls, deep furrows made during a thousand years because of effect of downpour-streams.
